00:02:18 Welcome
00:05:31 Hi Heather and Bret. I liked your rules for your boys regarding injury: no head and no eyes. Can you reiterate it with some practical examples that could be used as advice to young intrepid children?
00:13:56 My children are 2 and 3, both have been very good sleepers since they were 8-9 months old. They sleep from 7ish PM till 8AM and also have a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon. Is there such a thing as too much sleep for children? And yes, I realize I am incredibly lucky!
00:17:07 I've heard you guys speak a few times regarding underdevelopment of jaws leading to orthodontic issues when kids grow up. Do you have any recommended foods for very young kids/toddlers to help address this as they develop? We've avoided mashed up baby foods, but don't exactly have the children gnaw on bones either.
00:26:49 Hi Heather, hi Bret! We moved from Russia to Barcelona and here pediatrist strongly recommends for our 9 y.o. healthy son additional Hepatitis A and Meningitis B vaccinations. What would be your reasoning process to make the decision if you received similar recommendations? Thanks!
00:42:11 After recently visiting a park in Western New York where I spent much of my childhood in the 1970's, I was shocked to see the almost complete absence of butterflies. They used to be everywhere. I doubt I saw more than 10 of them the whole day when in the past I could expect to see 10 or more in a 5 minute walk. In many parts of Allegany State Park there is little or no cell service and it is far from any large agriculture. I am not aware of any significant difference in the weather over the past 50 years, maybe a little warmer. This was very alarming. What are some reasonable explanations for this?
00:50:53 Do you have any suggestions for dealing with the "toxic feminine" either interpersonally or prescriptives at the societal level? Avoidance of passive-aggressive, manipulative, histrionic, and gossiping/reputationally-destructive women seems impossible in modern workplaces, marketplaces, gyms, etc. (for men in particular) and I'm not sure how to address their hostile and disordered behavior without granting them negative attention that feeds into a persecution/victim complex. Do modern women need a new noble narrative now that birth control has made them radically different biologically/evolutionarily...to dissuade them from whimsical abortion, mutilating their children for social credit, guzzling wine/SSRIs, and wild promiscuity?
01:04:28 Some recent fieldwork had me thinking about ticks. What do you think about the evidence of lyme disease being another lab escape or bioweapon, and how it could be used towards its eradication, in a similar way suggested for covid? Its spread in recent years has been conspicuous, and often used as a climate cudgel.
01:12:13 My question is regarding the evolution of viruses and vaccines. I am curious what happens to a virus...say measles, when a population is mostly vaccinated for it? Would an unvacinated child have a worse experience with a measles virus now in comparison to days before we vaccinated for it?
01:15:22 Does the earth's virome now have a new trick to infect humans that it never had before due to the ace2 receptor inserted into COV19 by Fauci et al?
01:18:15 Bret and Heather - I've recently discovered that my home is infested with black mold, and wondered if you were familiar with the work of Dr. Shoemaker. His hypothesis (although he doesn't use the word 'hypernovel') is that the introduction of drywall in the 20th century has provided the perfect habitat for hazardous molds. Constant exposure to hypernovel immune stimulus then leads to what he calls Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome. Given that over the time I've lived here I've developed many of the alarming symptoms he lists, including brain fog and issues with color vision, I thought I'd ask if this was plausible before pursuing treatment.
01:25:52 Hello! Our cat has asthma and pollen season this year is aggravating his condition greatly. We have him on inhalers (same as for humans) when need be and supplement with CBD. Any experience with a pet that has seasonal allergies and or asthma? Thank you as always!
01:28:56 Bret, is the risk of shingles an overriding factor in deciding not to expose that must mean a child to chickenpox.
01:32:17 Hi Bret and Heather, Andrew Huberman has repeatedly recommended taking 3-5 grams of creatine monohydrate daily for improved physical performance and cognitive function. What are your thoughts on creatine supplementation? And if it's not too personal, both of your boys seem to be into weight training. Do they take a creatine supplement?
01:34:23 Hey Bret & Heather, do you have any opinions or information you can share on Leaky Gut Syndrome? It seems quite common now.
01:38:18 Question about The Mucus Mystery: The final section about the mRNA budding spike-proteins encoded with our own glycans had me a bit confused. So they are effectively cloaked to our immune system, until they go somewhere they shouldn't in our body and become "uncloaked" as Dr. Jones said? Is that when the body mounts an autoimmune response, causing any number of pathologies associated with the mRNA jabs? Could this also explain some of the "prion" behavior of the spike-proteins, if cloaked, replicating themselves in tissues off limits to our immune system such as brain tissue? (I'm still not convinced the spike protein acts as a prion, I think autoimmune encephalitis caused by persistent pseudouridine-stabilized mRNA is more likely).
01:40:44 If there are two immune systems "internal" and "mucosal", and adjuvants in vaccines target the "internal" system, how would pollen allergies in the "mucosal" system be triggered?
01:47:04 Your interview with Dr. Clancy was fascinating and got me thinking - maybe a specially coated pill that tries to mimic mucous carrying pathogens to the gut would be a better way to vaccinate. Instead of adjuvants, what if we gave such a vaccine during a natural sickness? I’d still be cautious but it sounds way less insane than our current paradigm. Bonus t-shirt idea: a picture of a finger up a nose with the caption: “it’s not gross, it’s adaptive!
01:50:51 "Hi Bret and Heather, Your conversation with Dr. Jones on mucosal immunity and biofilms sparked questions I’m currently investigating. Dr. Jones noted that altering bacterial behaviour without killing it avoids resistance, referencing Paul Ewald’s work. I find that concept hard to fully grasp, as it is a currently explored mechanism in combating antibiotic resistant staph. A phase 2 NIH study showed Bacillus subtilis reduced S. aureus in the gut (96%) and nose (65%) via quorum quenching—without harming the microbiome. Why doesn’t this selective pressure induce resistance? Can bacteria evolve around quorum quenching? What would be you though on using it as a prophylactic? Thanks for your continuous work on scientific discourse. -Yassir"
