I agree with Douglas on some points, but his “expert class” push is gatekeeping, which you critiqued too. That is what already killed trust in legacy media (COVID, politics) & social media (Twitter Files). We need open discussion, even “wrong” views!

48:37 Q: During early covid, I was trying , as Darkhorse advised, to find diverse voices, seeking falsification, particularly those who advocated for the new “vaccine”. Drs. John Campbell and Vinnay Prassad were 2 of the most compelling thinkers. Recently, it seemed as if Bret had named Prassad (episode 273 1:13:50) as one to be suspicious of, as one of the problematic middleground voices. I am struggling to understand this in his case. I have found his analysis of the problems of current science in alignment with what I hear here. His takedown of Rochelle Walensky’s incompetence also aligns. Can you please help me understand what I am missing?


53:20 Q: I wanted to call your attention to the recent Andrew Sullivan podcast episode where he really grilled Frances Collins on Proximal Origins / Lab Leak. The Covid section of the episode was the most adversarial interview of anyone not named Donald Trump or JD Vance that I've heard in recent memory. Sullivan isn't a scientist but did his homework and held his own in questioning Collins, although Collins' slickness under fire demonstrated why he rose so high in the ranks. Dogs might still be taken out for a walk, but most indoor cats require humans to interact with their faeces at least on a daily basis. I can't think of any good outcomes in the long run. 

01:35:16 Q: Question about tendons & ligaments. A few months ago, I had to take antibiotics for a month. I worry I may have damaged my tendons &/or ligaments. I feel sore in ways I haven't before, feels like I've lost of lot of elasticity. I know Heather had a bad Achilles tendon accident that she relates to her taking antibiotics. Is there anything that can be done to offset the possible damage to tendons & ligaments? Thank you much. Love you both.

01:37:29 Q: I’m doctor of Chinese medicine and fortunate to work in a public clinic. a facilities staff member made a spurious complaint against me for confronting him about doing unscheduled work while I was seeing patients. i was then reprimanded by a female admin, “this is a female run organization, you need to be more passive aggressive”. medicine has had an influx of females and it is well known that women, on average, tend toward agreeableness and less direct, how much of the catastrophic and authoritative covid response was due to a wave of toxic femininity in medicine? Do you think it is an accident that medicine has become more algorhythmic and protocol driven? How much incompetence is hiding behind “standard of care”?

Or we could do San Juan Island instead, but Orcas has some fun elevation and topography. Lots of route options, but we could meet in Moran State Park, maybe starting by looping around the upper Mountain Lake, then out to Doe Bay, down to Eastsound, ride through Crow Valley, and stop at Turtleback Mountain for a declivitous (and delicious) lunch? It’s not hard to get to the top of Turtleback from the southside, just a ten-minute (steep) hike. From Turtleback it’s pretty easy to ride back to the ferry, or even catch a seaplane if you want from West Sound. DAY RIDE OF THE DARK HORSES!
