When I think of a color revolution, I’m reminded of the movie Inception, where an agent tries to plant the seed of an idea so the host acts in a way that benefits someone else. The entire scheme only works if the host is unwitting, if they never realize the idea wasn’t originally theirs.
A major feature of a color revolution is the ability to influence or control media narratives.
