In this week’s episode, we discuss how it was to be in DC during Trump’s second Inauguration, and the MAHA ball. Then: a summary of Executive Orders: positive (e.g. freedom of speech, reality of biological sex, affirmative action, putting America first, securing our borders, establishing DOGE, J6 pardons, promoting beautiful architecture, and withdrawing from the WHO), negative (Gulf of America, the death penalty), and environmental (off-shore wind and natural gas, ANWR, fish and fires). Then: three reasons that Trump could become the best president we have had.

This is an inspiring speech, but such an obvious "deep fake" - it's one little video clip played again and again, with amazing ai techniques to form the mouth and issue the proclamation... what a crazy ass world we live in
@bretweinstein Just finished the James Lindsay intervention on the Woke Right concept, lol. You can see from the comments that it didn't really go anywhere, which I and many others feel is James' fault, as you say, not formulating his argument well. It's either "not actually a thing," or "the normal thing that doesn't need another name (vanilla political activism, promoting your worldview via game theory/Machiavellian means)."
He mentioned Auron McIntyre as an example. Auron is fairly educated and very mild mannered, I've been following him for a while, and he was really reluctant to even engage with this stuff months ago, but James was so determined about it, so he felt obliged to respond. Since you can't get a straight answer out of James, I think it wouldn't hurt you to interview Auron to get his inverted take, maybe you can figure out what "Woke Right" means judging by how the targets of the allegation react. Auron, again, is a very reasonable, not extremist person who I think you'd ...
