In this 255th in a series of live discussions with Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying (both PhDs in Biology), we talk about the state of the world through an evolutionary lens.
In this week’s episode, we discuss how to avoid confusion between moral and analytical differences, especially when it comes to politics and the state of America. Probably you have people in your life whom you love, with whom you disagree adamantly about politics. If you believe those people to share your values, then you probably just disagree about what you have seen, and what it means—rather than believing that they are fundamentally bad people. Also: is it unethical to spend time and resources investigating scientific questions that have already been answered? And: excess deaths in the time of Covid, the pull-forward effect, and an analogy with treefalls during early Winter storms: strong winds cull the weak, such that in subsequent storms, there should be fewer trees that fall. Also: check out Obvious State—they make amazing art prints.

Will European wheat have an effect on Bret Weinstein? This is Part II of his European experiment, the results.
Watch Part I: https://rumble.com/v6pns8o-is-bret-allergic-to-european-wheat.html?e9s=src_v1_ucp
Dr. Bret Weinstein is running an experiment on himself. After a decade of avoiding wheat he has tried eating it while in Spain. In this update video he explains how he has been feeling and answers common questions around glyphosate and dry fasting.

No live stream today, instead Bret is running an experiment from Spain.
Do you have a wheat allergy? Have you been able to eat wheat in Europe without the symptoms you experience in America? After a decade without intentionally eating wheat, Bret Weinstein is running an experiment while visiting Spain - will the European wheat cause the same symptoms he experiences when stateside?

Over on Michael Malice's Your Welcome, @bretweinstein was the guest, and afterward, there was a Locals-only Q&A with Bret. The first question was "How would you respond to Scott Adam's conjecture that Simulation Theory is a better explanation for the world than Evolution."
First, props to Bret for pointing out off the bat that Simulation Theory and Creationism are functionally the same thing. Never thought of that, but obviously true.
But second, he extrapolates his own assertion, that the universe seems to be made expressly for evolution, there's too much evidence for it. Any theory that might assert that evolution is not actually happening, it's an illusion, would have to really make you question the character of that Creator.
God would have been DIABOLICAL to design a universe with evolution in it and hide Himself from it after?!? That only a MALEVOLENT god would create a fact pattern and physical structure and law of the universe to suggest that evolution existed just for yuks?

Nothing new to anyone here, but Tom Bilyeu posted a detailed-yet-succinct summary of the issues with "experts." In a 30 minute recap, he covers the need for specialists, and the hazards of tunnel vision and calcification. Fascinating article about mitochondria.
“Diabetes, neurodegenerative conditions, cancer and even mental health illnesses are all emerging as metabolic disorders involving malfunctioning mitochondria.”
