Join Bret and Heather for their next Q&A on August 3rd. Add it to your calendar here: https://www.darkhorsepodcast.org/calendar
00:00:00 Welcome to the Q&A
00:06:30 How would you handle AI in the classroom if you were still teaching? What philosophy around it would you want to instill in the students?
00:16:59 Not sure if this topic has been covered, but how do you explain foot pain/issues like plantar fasciitis, pronation/supination? Shoes like Hokas with thick soles cause low back/hip pain for many due to a pelvic tilt, but barefoot shoes seem to make plantar fasciitis worse. What do you recommend?
00:28:40 I am going to make the case that there are 4 genders, not 2 (hear me out).
'Woman: Human female adult’, describes gender being not only sex-based but also age-based.
'Man' and 'woman' exclude children. Do children have no gender (sounds like the claim of a trans-activist)? So:
Man: Human male adult.
Woman: Human female adult.
Boy: Human male child.
Girl: Human female child.
Discuss.
00:30:22 Love you guys and I'm always so grateful for your work! Truly... I don't know if this question falls into your wheelhouse or not. When I was a working musician, I did an outdoor gig on a particularly windy day. My drummer agreed there was something exhausting about the wind. I speculated that our nerves were being bombarded constantly with noisy signal sent to our neurons. And recently I was working with an artist who spent much of our studio time loudly on the phone in another language. I was similarly exhausted. Lots of stimulation (noise) with no signal. Are these phenomena related?
00:36:13 Seems people with Down syndrome are very sensual/sexually active. I don’t know how much Trisomy 21 is inheritable, but: would it persist as much if the sensuality of people with Down syndrome was «normal»? What’s at play here and is hypersexuality also linked to other genetic anomalies?
PS: plz have Maajid Nawaz on Darkhorse to talk about the international situation & Epstein, he’s been very clear-headed + he’s the perfect guest to move the discussion on religion forward <3
00:37:12 There are too many obvious flaws in the Epstein story. Are the powers that be trying to use this to divide the party? I can’t imagine another reason to make a narrative with such obvious holes. What is the best path forward to this increase accountability while adding more unity in this crazy moment in history?
00:44:48 Before Newton came along, are you aware of any hypothesis people had for why it's harder to walk uphill than down?
00:49:44 Hi Heather and Bret
Bret, regarding your discussion with Dr. Jones and Xylitol spray and your own use of same, do you know if the nasal spray confers benefit to the mouth or is it localised to the nose? Could you use the spray orally and get dental benefits from it?
00:51:54 I work remotely in a dead end job. I’ve thought about starting a business but am stuck trying to come up with an idea. Do you have any suggestions or wisdom to share from your own journey post-Evergreen?
00:54:06 Hello! What are your thoughts on supplements with amount per serving exceeding way above 100% of your daily value? AG1 for example contains 400mcg of Vitamin B12 that equals to 16667% DV. Thank you as always! You guys are the best!
00:58:42 On your latest JRE appearance at 2:03:00 you mentioned “information stored in genomes that is not in triplet codon form”…(that has a way to select goals of evolution)...are you saying there was a palette of yet-unseen features that existed, and if so, where were the ideas stored? Do you think your theory is more, less, or as likely as there being an intelligent designer?
01:00:35 If you feel comfortable sharing, what is your earliest memory?
01:06:02 Quick question about PDX, I'm thinking of pursuing a new job there, and I would probably be living around the Laurelhurst Park area. Is it madness to move to Portland in 2025? Should I avoid all cities that are now riddled with 5G radiation? A bigger albeit related topic here is how do we covid-dissident types reintegrate ourselves within populations that still refuse to wake up – the "New Normals" as C.J. Hopkins calls them – New Normalites, you could say. I've been catching up on my covid-era book pile and just finished Hopkin's "The Rise of the New Normal Reich" and it was pretty comprehensive, and sobering as here in 2025 I still get blocked by old friends and colleagues when I bring up any kind of covid criticism in retrospect. Insane!
We have "cartesian blinders being put on us so that we are trying to make sense out of scraps of information and hints." - @bretweinstein
WEINSTEIN: I mean, even if you have your villains who are engaged in the behavior that motivated this war in Iran, even if that's the story, presumably most of the people in the path of these ferocious bombings that he is describing are not deserving of going back to the Stone Age.
In fact, I distinctly remember him telling us that part of what we were up to was liberating the people of Iran from their tyrannical regime.
So if it's the tyrannical regime that justifies the ferocious bombing, then it's a tragedy that other people are going to be sent back to the Stone Ages with them. Right?
HEYING: It's it's not a narrative. It's an incoherent set of talking points.
WEINSTEIN: Yeah, it's a kind of cheerleading that is completely inappropriate from the perspective of the president.
Bret Weinstein discusses the Trump administrations "back to the stone age" recent remarks in the latest episode of The Evolutionary Lens, Episode 320 "Are we back in the stone age?" on DarkHorse.
Bret Weinstein explains, "If you stop businesses from starting here, and if you drive people so that they move elsewhere—even though it's difficult to do—then the point is the tax base dries up, which then forces you to become even more predatory for the people who stayed.
And that's really the thing, right? They're setting themselves up so that they have to go after more and more people, because the people who are starting new businesses are not going to do it here."
